In a time where standardized and proficancy tests reign, there is an educator out there that dares to find creative ways to get children to learn and stay in school. Norberto Diaz, “Bert”, started off in the New Jersey school system where he taught as a music teacher for 14 years. He is currently a Latin musician and a principal who is beloved by his students, community and parents. Bert has just started a blog at http://norbertodiaz.wordpress.com/, and he uses his blog to share his songs that he writes to keep children excited and interested in school. His energy over the years has allowed him to impact many childrens lives, and he would like to share his experience at his website.

I went to post my blog last night, and a strange thing occurs; I have a comment from one of my readers. “Whoa,” I say to myself, “someone is actually reading this, I better start writing about good topics.” All kidding aside, I want my readers to contribute. If you agree with me, great, state why. If you disagree with me, great, state why. I’m not here to change opinons, I’m here to give a fresh voice, to engage in dialog.
Having said this; I will not tolerate if you put people down, or insult them. This is America, where we are blessed to have a free voice, and I want every voice to be respected. I will respect your voice if you disagree with me, and I will expect you to respect my voice, and the voices of others. Too many times I go to a website and people are puting others down, using derogatory language, etc. Comments like these will be deleted. So, comment away, I won’t be hurt if you disagree; I will politely respect your views.
My hope is to make this a place for civilized conversations to occur regarding current topics. Please, respect others, and help this blog grow by telling people you know who would like a blog like this.
So, comment away, and spread the word!
