Did you know that there were protesters at the Democratic National Convention? If there wasn’t a little blurb about them in the newspaper, would you know? That’s because the protesters at the DNC did it right. They were vocal, yet peaceful and respectful. The protesters at the RNC were horrible. The protesters were violent and disrespectful. Last night was John McCain’s night. Like him or hate him, he was in the spotlight, and needed to state his case on why he should be elected president of the United States. This was not a time or place to protest. You want to protest? Then protest outside, and do it in a way that the cops won’t be sent. The protesters last night (over the entire course of the convention for that matter) were way out of line, and conducted themselves in an immature way, and should leave democrats shaking their heads and wondering “why?” Last night was an opportunity to look forward to the next four years, and see what John McCain would do for the country, and the protesters took that away from us.
