First of all, it’s been a while since my last post. It has been a hectic week, and I just haven’t had the time of day to write anything. In the next few weeks though, I will revisit the discussion of religion in the world. But right now, I want to talk about what happened today. No, I’m not talking about the bailout that has just been announced, I’m talking about college football. College football is by far the greatest sport out there today. It beats the NFL, NHL, MLB, and all other sports not listed here. College football is great because the underdog- no matter how overmatced, has a shot to defeat their opponent. Take today for example: today 9 ranked teams lost- and six of them lost to unranked teams. Some of the great games included: Michigan winning the game after being down 19 at the half, Ole Miss blocking an extra point to preserve the lead, and Alabama holding on to a 41-30 victory after lead 31-0 at halftime. The gridiron is the greatest equalizer of all the sports. It holds the attention of all the fans, and the underdog has a decent shot at overtaking the stronger team. Saturday’s during the fall is certainly the best time of the year.
