Have you noticed that pollers, media and pundits are saying that if a white man votes for McCain because Obama is black, then it’s a terrible crime against racism. But if a black man votes for Obama because he is black; then it’s progress.
I believe that this is a great moment in history, and honestly, maybe it’s the passing of the torch in politics (from old white men to color/age doesn’t matter). The thing is, you need to cast a vote for the person’s politics, not based on the skin color. Unfortunately, everybody is focused on two things this election; change and skin color. Because of this, there is less focus on what is being said, but who says it. I guarantee you if a white person has said half the things that Obama says, he wouldn’t have a chance. But because’s he’s black, he’s a crusader, and more than likely our next president. I’m not being racist, but spreading what I believe.
