Today is Mother’s Day, and I would like to wish all of you mother’s; especially my wife, and my mom, a Happy Mother’s Day. Having said that, I hate Mother’s Day. For Mother’s Day, everybody is expected to get their mom, or wife if she’s a mom, some form of present, and/or make breakfast in bed. We do this because we want to show our mom that she’s special. Let’s think about this for a moment. To show mom that she’s special, we’re expected to do something that millions of other families are doing. That’s special? Before you celebrate Mother’s Day next year, how about you celebrate an “un-mother’s Mother’s Day.” A day that you set aside to show that you love and respect your mom (or wife) when she’s not expecting it.
