Tollerance, acceptance, and …

We all know that there was a tragic school shooting that took place earlier this week. What you may not know is that the victim was a young gay teen you decided to flaunt his sexuality. Because school districts are becoming more liberal, and are open to anything except for conservative values (because we’re closed minded and believe in right and wrong), the district allowed this gay teen to wear make-up and female clothing to school. I’m sure the ACLU, other civil liberty and gay groups applauded the decision, and are thankful for the expression that the school allowed this teen to show. The family on the other hand believes that the allowance of these actions is what ultimately lead to the teen’s death. Over the next few months, lawsuits will probably be filed, conservative groups will say that the teen should not have been allowed to do this, and civil liberty groups will blame the school for not have CIA opperatives watching his every move and protecting him.

Being gay is not normal. Less than 10% of the world population is gay. The real reason that gays are being treated the way they are is because they want to flaunt their sexuality to the whole world and MAKE people accept the lifestyle. Look, as a society we accept the gay person as who they are. We don’t accept the lifestyle, and it makes sense. We are programed to reject things that are abnormal (cancer, diseases, bad food, etc). Tollerance and acceptance needs to be evaluated, and then rejected. We need to love the person; and not be forced to tollerate or accept the lifestyle. It’s because of this doctrine that this poor teen is now dead.

Is NFP effective?

One of the biggest complaints about NFP is that it’s too hard to follow the guidelines; there are too many rules; or you mean we have to wait THAT long before we have marital relations again!  One thing that you will want to know about NFP is that it is very effective in both preventing pregnancy, and acheiving pregnancy.  The catch is that you must follow the guidelines of the women’s cycle.  If you flirt with the rules, you flirt with pregnancy, and if you abide by them, there is a good chance that your wife will not get pregnant.

More than acheiving or preventing pregnancy, NFP is effective on the marriage.  I’m sure you know that right now, there is a 50% + divorce rate in the United States.  Did you also know that there is a 50% divorce rate in the Catholic Church?  But, of the 10%-15% that follow NFP (yes, only 10%-15% of catholics follow this teaching) 95% + remain married until the death of one of the spouses.  (You may lift up your jaw now).  This probably comes as surprising to you, but if you try to understand the purpose of NFP, you begin to realize why.  Contraception encourages and makes the woman ready on demand.  If a man asks his wife to contracept, the man is asking his wife to be ready for his desire 24/7.  This does not foster a deep relationship among the marriage, it fosters a SELFISH relationship among the husband and wife (the man expects his wife to be willing, and the couple is closed to life; children teach the act of selflessness.  You see, NFP promotes communication among husband and wife, and it also promotes selflessness by the controlling of one’s desires, and fostering of children.

As you can see, NFP is effective in two very important ways: it prevents or acheives pregnancy, and it helps the marriage bond.  If you want to know more about birth control, and how one Pope prophesized how it would effect the world, visit this link: http://www.papalencyclicals.net/Paul06/p6humana.htm

Nation of Whiners

Late last week, one of McCain’s staff members said that we have become a nation ofo whiners.  I understand that McCain had to back off for political reasons, but I agree with the statement.  Back in the golden days, the United States was a nation of doers.  Citizens didn’t wait or expect the government to bail them out, they tried to find ways to bail themselves out.  These days all we hear about is, “The government has to do this, the government has to do that.”  The goverment is here to protect the citizens and help the citizens, not do everything for the citizens.  As citizens, WE need to do things for ourselves.  Go back to school if you don’t have a degree (the government will help you), start your own business if you’re unemployed (the government will gelp you), get a second job like I did for a little while (government can’t help you there).  Take action to help the country, don’t just take action every 2 or 4 years by voting, but take action in your daily life.

Gardasil-the HPV vaccine

You’ve seen the ads; a teenager is promising to be one less.  The mom is standing beside her stating that she wants her daughter to be one less case of HPV; and that’s why she’s having her child get the vaccine.  Studies are being conducted, and it’s not sounding too good for the girls who get the vaccine Gardasil.  The area where the teenager gets the shot hurts for days, girls pass out, need surgery, and some girls may have died (these cases are still being investigated).

If you have a teenaged daughter, and you allow her to get the shot, you are literally telling her to go out and have sex.  How is this good parenting?  You’re not protecting her, you’re giving her an excuse to be unaccountable for her actions.  Abstinance gets a bad wrap these days, but it’s the only full proof method out there.  The success rate is much better (100%)  than the other options, but people look at the failure rate instead.  Look, my wife and I abstained until marriage.  We did not have out of wedlock children, we do not have STD’s, and best for me; my wife can’t compare me to anybody else.  We’re told these days that woman are strong, well, it takes a strong mom to teach abstinance, and a strong teenager to practice it.  I’m not going to let me children get this shot when they turn of age; I want them to be strong, and if they don’t practice abstinance; then that’s the choice that they will have to make.  My children are going to be one less, one less to get the vaccine.  The choice is up to them what they do without it.

Gay Adoption

There’s this gay couple who has been given permission to by the courts to be adoptive parents.  In the midst of their joy, they decided to go online and start looking at adoption agencies, and they found one to their liking, and started the application process.  While they were filling out the application, they came to a section where it stated that the couple must be a husband and wife.     This adoption agency views that it is in the child’s best interest to be raised by a husband and wife; not a husband and husband or wife and wife. Well, the couple got offended by this, and they have filed a lawsuit citing discrimination.  Why do gays have to attack those that believe in the sanctity of marriage or the family unit?  Why do we HAVE to conform to their beliefs?   Now this adoption agency is going to have to spend a lot of money to fight this.  There are plenty of agenies out there that allow gay adoptions, go find them; don’t attack those that believe that a traditional family unit is in the best interest of the child.  This is the gay agenda at it’s finest; “We’re victims, so we’re going to sue because we want everybody to think like us.”  I’m not bashing gays, I’m bashing their agenda, and all over the United States, gays are viewed as the victims; and those who stand by their morals and faith are considered biggots and haters.

Now this isn’t the only time that something like this has happened.  Last year the gay community sued EHarmony.com because their wasn’t a woman seeking woman, or man seeking man option.  The gay community wants to attack everything that the traditional family represents.  So when you think about it, who is really being victimized?

Affirmative Action

This November, Arizona voters are going to get to vote on whether or not to ammend the constitution and ban affirmative action.  Just today though, it was announced that their is an interest group from Michigan that is suing the group for allegedly using deceptive language to dupe the voters.  Like many Americans, I’m sick of affirmative action.  It’s a form of reverse descrimination, and it prevents the most qualified candidate to be hired in some instances.  But that’s not the only reason I’m against it.  Some studies indicate that colleges are allowing unqualifed candidates into their colleges (especially law and medical schools) because the color of their skin.  Because these cadidates are unqualifed, they are dropping out of school and now there are less doctors and lawyers in the work force as a result.  So, not only do the minority students not make it, but highly qualified candidates are being overlooked.  Has anyone brought this up as a reason why our doctors seem less and less qualified each year, or why we wait for 45 minutes in the doctors office?  Oh well, at least we’re trying to make everybody equal.

Are you kidding me?

The other day here in Arizona, a 52 serogate mother delivered twins… she delivered her own grandchildren.  The grandmother was quoted as saying it was the best thing she has ever done, and that they were an incredible gift.  Of course, the media is touting this as a great accomplishment, and it’s amazing what science has done to help sterile couples have their own children.  Will somebody please step up and call this selfish?  Because this couple wanted their genes to survive forever, some child is without parents at an adoption agency.  People need to reailize how selfish invitro fertilization and serogate mothers are, and start accepting their cross and adopt someone in need.

Humanizing our Pets Part II

Another way that we are humanizing our pets is by spending an exorbent amount of money on medicine for our pets.  If Fido one day comes down with cancer one day, many pet owners will fork over thousands of dollars to either beat the cancer, or to keep Fido living for a couple of more years.  I understand that pets become part of the family, and when they die, the family goes through some form of grieving.  But there is no reason to spend thousands of dollars on a pet when that money could be better used to serve the family, or society in a better way.  When I was a kid; I new the hard realities of life, and when a dog of mine was ill, I wanted my parents to put him/her down because I knew it was best for the animal.  Then a few days later we got a new dog.  Yeah losing the pet hurt a lot, but I was able to save another dog a few days later; and we were pals for a long time.

Humanizing our Pets Part I

With the rise of gas and food prices, many Americans are traveling less, donating less, and trying to find ways to cut down on their grocery bill.  One place that many are not cutting back on is our pet expenses; in fact many are spending more on their pets.  One way that our pets are being humanized is by sending them to pet resorts.  For a mere $55 a night, Fido can enjoy a large kennel with with a bed and tv.  Tack on an addition $30; he can have an individual pool time, and an additional $15 ensures that he will have quality 1-1 time.  This adds up to $100 a day.  I find it shocking and stupid that many Americans are cutting back on their own needs, but willing to spend unlimited amounts of money to keep Fido comfortable.  My way of making sure my dog is comfortable, is bying him a $30 pet bed from Petsmart, and that’s it.  Pets are pets, stop humanizing them.

Hit and Run

A hit and run was captured on video yesterday, and the nation watched in horror as cars and bystanders just let the victim lie in the street.  It took nearly 4 minutes before a good samaritan got stopped to help him.  Should we be surprised that this happened?  Honestly; we live in a country now where the most important person is YOU, and there is little to no accountability any more.  I sat horrified as I watched this story, but was not surprised that it happened.  I fear for our future.
