Are things THAT bad?

Over the years, democrats have accused republicans for fear-mongering, and revisiting the terror that we all fealt during 9-11.  Democrats want us to forget about 9-11, not just because it’s in the past, but also because it was Clinton’s foreign policies that lead to the attacks.  Democrats also want us to forget about it because they are weak on foreign policy.  Just yesterday, the poster child of the democrats, Michael Moore, stated that he was not affraid of Iran.  Now, that is a scary thought.

So if democrats want to call out republicans, I’m going to call out democrats.  Are things really as bad as they say they are?  Sure, times are tough right now.  Jobs are being cut, gas is high, and people who made stupid investments are losing their homes.  But the democrats want us to believe that the end is near, or that the sky is falling.  They want to get into office to create more government programs that fail, fix the social security system (this is their baby, and wouldn’t let GWB touch it), and create a governent health care system.  Look, I know that the democrats mean well.  They want to help the poor, and they want to make everybody equal and have a fair chance.   The problem is that life doesn’t work that way, and the more the government steps in, the worse it gets.  Relying on the government can be addicting, and once people rely on it too much, they don’t want to acheive on their own merit.  Look at the people on government assistance; the unfortunate fact is that those on government assistance choose not to get off of it.  Those on government assistance need to find a way to get off and prosper themselves.

Things are not as bad as the democrats make it seem, and in fact I thought life would be a lot worse right now.  In a few months or years, the economy will be thriving again, there will be job growth, and people will be happy again.  The most important aspect though is that the people need to find a way, not the government.  The more the government steps in like the democrats want, the worse of a situation it could be.

I’ll leave you with one scary liberal thought I came across today.  As many of you may be aware, McCain’s speech had a larger audience than Obama by about 500,000 people.  One liberal posted on the board that this was because all the rich people got home from playing golf early and were able to watch, while those who support Obama were still at work working hard.  I don’t know if the person who made this comment was joking or serious, but the fact is the rich put in there time and dues before they became rich.  They found a way, and that’s the American way.
