Spoiler

Well, the media has done it again. They played to spoiler, and broke the VP announcement before Obama could text all of his supporters. Now, I’m not an Obama fan (as stated before), but news organizations were ready to break the news before the official text and annoncement was made. I am beginning to think that the news media is no different than the tabloid junk that you see at the newsstands. Each media station needs to be the first to report; regardless of how accurate, or inconsiderate the story may be. What if the Obama camp had fed a phony name just to bait the media? What if the source got bad information? The news media is to report the news so that people can be informed. But because of the internet, blogs and the rampant expansion of news outlets, it’s become a race to see who can get the news first, and then report it regardless how accurate it is, hurtful, or inconsiderate. Do I need to bring up that Time story about the teenage girls in Massachsettes?
